About Me

Khai

Hi, I am Khai, an Associate Registered Nutritionist and Part Time Chemistry Tutor at Ara Institute of Canterbury, where I teach foundational chemistry to pre health students. My teaching work keeps me grounded in the science behind metabolism, physiology, and lifestyle medicine: the same principles I use to help people Nourish, Prevent and Thrive.

Before moving into nutrition, I spent more than a decade working across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand in manufacturing, procurement, and international business development. I love working with people and have always enjoyed roles that involve collaboration, problem-solving, and bringing different groups together to get things done.

My interest in nutrition grew naturally through family life. Seeing the positive changes in my own health and in my children's wellbeing sparked a curiosity that eventually became a passion - and a new career. Through my degree in Human Nutrition, I came to understand that health is never just about food. It's influenced by how we move, sleep, work, manage stress, and connect with others.

My approach is simple: when people understand the “why” behind their choices, they’re far more empowered to make sustainable changes. I specialise in translating complex science into clear, practical explanations that help clients feel confident in the habits they’re building, making behaviour change more meaningful, achievable, and long lasting. I’m passionate about prevention and supporting wellbeing across all life stages, and I love helping people make small, practical changes that fit into everyday life, the kind of changes that feel achievable and actually last.
